Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy aims to address various psychological and emotional challenges, improve mental health, and enhance your overall quality of life. Together, we will build an awareness of how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours interact and how we can build knowledge and create skills and strategies towards more helpful ways of being.

I am Tola, a registered psychotherapist with a curious, compassionate, and collaborative approach to the work. I believe that healing requires unlearning the parts of ourselves and experiences that keep us burdened in favour of kinder ways of being. I recognize that the journey towards healing is not easy or liner, but it can be fulfilling and rewarding along the way.

Areas of Practice

I work specifically with individuals (18+) experiencing relational difficulties and attachment trauma, stress, anxiety and symptoms of burnout, and faith-based anxieties or trauma.

Therapeutic Approaches

My passion in the therapeutic alliance is rooted in creating a relationship built on safety, trust, and non-judgement. I take an integrative approach to therapy and draw from attachment-based modalities, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), narrative therapy, and relational therapy.

Education

I have a Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Spirituality from Saint Paul University. I continue to engage with ongoing professional development to further my knowledge of therapy tools and techniques.
